Officers investigating a robbery in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
At around 2.20pm on Sunday 12 July 2026, a man and woman were walking in the direction of Meyrick Park rugby pitch under the red brick railway bridge when an unknown man approached in possession of a knife.
The offender demanded money and jewellery. He left the scene with a £20 note, a watch, earrings and a ring into a wooded area nearby.
The suspect is described as approximately five feet 11 inches tall, of skinny build with a very skinny face and aged in his mid-30s with olive skin. He was wearing a long-sleeved black T-shirt, black cargo-style trousers that were tied at the bottom, black trousers, a black face covering and a black bandana.
Police Constable Ollie Chant, of Dorset Police, said: “This must have been a very distressing incident for the victims and a full investigation is underway.
“Officers carried out a search of the area at the time of the report, but unfortunately the offender was not located.
“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and saw what happened to please get in touch.”
